1. Service Description

Metaphysics Insights ("we", "us", "our") provides Chinese metaphysics (BaZi / Eight Characters) readings and insights for self-reflection and entertainment purposes. Our platform generates daily, monthly, and yearly readings, personalised profile narratives, and interactive chat-based guidance grounded in traditional Chinese metaphysics principles.

2. Entertainment Disclaimer

All readings, insights, and advice provided through this service are for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only. They do not constitute professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. You should not rely on readings from this service as a substitute for professional consultation. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

3. AI Disclosure

Our readings and chat responses are generated using artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude). While grounded in traditional Chinese metaphysics principles, AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. The system interprets classical BaZi frameworks computationally — it does not possess supernatural abilities or guaranteed predictive power.

4. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under 18.

5. User Obligations

• Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Accurate information: You agree to provide truthful birth data. Inaccurate birth information will result in inaccurate readings.
• Acceptable use: You agree not to use this service for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm others, to attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit our systems, or to redistribute content generated by the service for commercial purposes without written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this platform — including readings, narratives, visual designs, brand assets, and software — is owned by Metaphysics Insights or its licensors. Personalised readings generated for your account are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

Metaphysics Insights shall not be liable for any decisions you make based on readings, insights, or advice provided through this service. Our content is for entertainment and self-reflection only and should not be the basis for significant life decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the total subscription fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

8. Data Processing

By using this service, you consent to your birth data being processed by AI systems to generate personalised readings. Your birth date, birth hour, and gender are sent to Anthropic's API for narrative generation. No personally identifiable information (such as your email or name) is included in AI requests. 9. Subscription Terms

• Free tier: All users receive a universal daily reading and limited chat access at no cost.
• Premium subscription: Personalised readings across all five life domains, unlimited chat, monthly and yearly insights, and profile narratives are available via a paid subscription (SGD 29/month).
• Free trial: First-time subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. Only one trial per user is permitted; creating multiple accounts to obtain additional trials is prohibited.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged the current subscription rate unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
• Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Metaphysics Insights after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
